Salon Re-Opening 3.0

LOCKDOWN / RE-OPENING 3.0 (is it 3rd time lucky?)


Govt updates Feb 2021 create some new milestones for our business and our customers. While there is so much to do, we are taking measured steps to bring beautiful healthy hair focused services back to Henley On Thames. 
Please take a minute to breeze through initial preparations for this new phase. Things will be different for a while so please feel free to suggest anything that may make this transition easier for all.


APRIL 12TH 2021

Following the Government announcement The Salon Of Chi re-opened on Monday 12th April 2021. This is great news that we can once again focus on providing our Conscious Quality Craft of hair care to our guests.

Welcome New Stylist


We are pleased to announce a new addition to the team. Always looking on the bright side, Sassoon trained Ashtan brings 7 years experience in Oxfordshire salons before joing us at The Salon OI Chi. And harbours a secret agenda with colour (How to make highlights last even longer). A senior in previous roles Ashtan is an excellent addition to the team

We are recycling the impossible


People need to know about this. So many said it couldn't be done but thanks to the Green Salon Collective we can now recycle much more than we ever could before

Operational Expectations

As we get ready for this next phase we expect that many things are probably going to ramain in place from the previous re-opening process. The following details contain safety and operational processes that were part of our 2020 re-opening process. Many of these may remain in place at least initially. So we are also preparing to be nimble and proactive in letting everyone know. If any of these details change we will update them here. Our mailing list will be one of the first areas to recieve all the lastest updates and changes

New Hours

SUNDAY CLOSED MON 9AM - 5.30PM TUE 9AM - 5.30PM WED 8AM - 8.00PM THU 8AM - 8.00PM FRI 9AM - 5.30PM SAT 8AM - 4.30PM

Prevention Cleaning

We are taking more time between each appointment for cleaning and preperation for each guest - Workstations cleaned - Gowns and towels cleaned - Equipment sterilised - General spaces cleaned

Face Coverings

Wearing of face masks is no longer a legal requirement. Staff may choose to wear face masks at select points during the day Please feel free to indicate your preference

Late arrivals may forfeit the appointment or accept an alternative service. You may be charged for the lost appointment We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances may occur and apologise for any inconvenience this approach may cause while we try to accomodate everyone.

Colour Services

If more than 4 months since last colour appointment you will need a skin test If your hair has recieved colour process since your last salon visit you will need a skin test Skin tests required at least 72 hours before colour appointment.

For U11's

We cut the hair dry Please cleanse hair before arriving Service may be refused if late or hair is not freshly cleansed. Child must be accompanied by an adult or guardian

Cancellation Policy

48 Hours notice required for cancellations Customer may be charged upto 100% of the appointment value Deposits may be required for future bookings
