It’s my first appointment. What should I bring?It’s great if you provide as much detail as possible. IMAGES – If you are interested in changing your hairstyle then some good images and examples of the look you want to achieve. Taking some pictures on your phone is always a good start PRODUCTS – It is also useful to make a note of the hair products and tools you are currently using as these help your stylist understand how you like to style yourself at home. We will always aim to create styling that you can enjoy and manage yourself.
Let’s face it, you style your hair every day, so we want to make it easy for you to get results you enjoy. It also means there’s a lot we can learn from you. So we’ll take a few minutes to discuss your experiences with you on your first appointment.
Why do I need a consultation?This is where we learn how we can best be of service. This is usually less than 15 mins and helps us to understand your hair needs, experiences and ideas. Consultations help us design the actual service to be delivered and can often involve more than one stylist. Quality hairdressing combines technical, scientific and personal style elements together and when its done well, creates a service experience that is uniquely yours. Consultations help us to get the right mix and balance for your salon visit. We can also perform a range of analysis that help us advise and suggest options to for you achieve the hair and look you really want.
I am new to your salon. Can I have a colour service?The short answer is YES. However there are 2 guidelines regarding colour services at THESALONOFCHI. Guests must…
1. be over 16 years of age
2. Have a passed a skin test at least 48 hours before the colour service appointmentWe will not perform a colour service unless both of these criteria are met. We didn’t make the rules but in order to provide the best assurances we must keep to the rules we are set.
How much is it going to cost?
We can provide a guide price over the telephone or via the online price list you can see here. However your stylist will be able to quote more accurately after your consultation and hair analysis. At this point we will have a more complete understanding of your hair needs and your styling goals.
What if I need to Cancel?All appointments can be cancelled without charge up to 24 hours notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to pay the full cost of the appointment.
Late arrivalsIf you arrive late for your appointment we will try our best to accommodate you. However please be aware that lateness may compromise the service we are able to deliver and in some cases we will recommend altering the appointment or rescheduling to a different day, time or stylist. If the current appointment is lost due to lateness a 50% charge may be applied.
