Let’s face it. The biggest reason for taking on an apprenticeship is the high level of preparation you receive.
This becomes apparent the minute you become a full time professional in your craft. Not only do you get excellent theory, but also with the practical experience and professional working habits of quality establishment. Our aim is to make each apprentice ready to be a valuable addition to any salon. Often apprentices stay with us to begin their professional career or launch themselves into the world of work in a new venture.

THE DETAILS

Apprenticeships last around 2 years. Some hard work and some fun times along the way lead to the reward of skills and experiences you'll utilise for the rest of your life

At The Salon Of Chi we are often singled out for our ethical, ecological or sustainable approach. For us its more simplistic. We just want to do right by people. We have been awarded locally and nationally for our approach to business, the environment and quality of experience.

Here are just some of our steps so far..
• Reduced water usage - because only 3% of water on the planet is freshwater
• Reduced landfill waste by 70% - because we don’t want to add to the problem
• Reduced chemical waste going into waterways – we want to get this to a minimum
• Sustainable approach to purchasing – i.e. furniture is upcycled – see if you can tell
• Storage units made from recycled bottle tops and wood – same!
• Currently supporting local waterways improvement project in 2022 – yay!
• Products with certified organic and Biodynamic properties – yes some serious nature science going on as well
